Greetings Timberwolf Families!

This Week at EMS

It’s been another busy and productive week at Enumclaw Middle! Our students have been learning, growing, and building connections across classrooms and throughout our school community. We are proud of the ways students continue to demonstrate our schoolwide expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, and Resilient, especially our new 6th graders, who are really starting to lock in.

This week, students were engaged in purposeful book studies through their ELA classes. Ask your child what they are reading and discussing in class. We appreciate the continued support of our families in helping students arrive ready to learn, stay connected to school, and make positive choices each day.

As we head into next week, please take a moment to review the important dates and reminders below. Thank you for partnering with us to make middle school a positive and successful experience for every student!

Sincerely,

Mr Dumontet

Important Student Schedule Information

As we settle into the new school year, our administrative team and counselor have been carefully monitoring class sizes to ensure optimal learning environments for all students. To balance course loads and keep class sizes manageable, a small number of students will receive updated schedules starting Monday, September 14th.

If your child is affected by these changes, you will receive a direct notification via email, and their updated schedule will be accessible through the Skyward portal. We work hard to minimize disruptions and keep core teachers and elective choices consistent whenever possible.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we create the best possible classroom experience for our students. Please feel free to reach out to your child's counselor, Ms. Wychor if you have any questions.

Backpack Program

For families struggling to keep enough food in the house during weekends and school breaks, there is help available. Each Friday, hundreds of students of the Enumclaw School District receive food bags containing fresh organic fruit, entree servings, breakfasts, and snacks. Food bags are discreetly distributed at school in such a way that the students remain anonymous to classmates.

If your family could benefit from this program, contact your student’s school counselor or complete the online enrollment form.

This program is brought to families of the Enumclaw School District by the Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation.
