Hello Westwood Families!
As we move deeper into the fall season, it has been wonderful to see students’ enthusiasm and commitment during PE. Classes have been hard at work refining their throwing and catching skills, practicing the pacer test, developing locomotor movements, and teaming up for activities such as Hula-Hut Throwdown, Trick-or-Treat, and Treasure Hunt. Students consistently show great effort, teamwork, and a willingness to try their best.
Our Run Club has also been a highlight. Even with weather-related cancellations, students return with excitement and determination whenever we’re able to be outside. This week, we celebrated our first qualifiers for the Jingle Bell Run! Students who complete 100 laps before winter break will earn the opportunity to participate in the event and enjoy a fun celebration afterward.
I’m continually inspired by the energy our students bring to PE. Their determination, teamwork, and love for movement make our gym a fun and active place to learn each day. I can’t wait to see all they accomplish as we continue through the year!
