Our Weekly Communication to Families and Students
March 16 - 20, 2026

TMMS is excited about the 2027 school year.  

We will be having registration discussions in current 6th and 7th grade science classes on March 18th and 19th.  During these visits registration request forms will be given to students.  Please review these forms with your student and discuss the options.Students will be asked to return their request forms to science teachers by March 27st.  

Registration visits with current 5th grade students will be held on the following dates

March 30th Black Diamond Elementary  

March 31 Westwood Elementary

April 8th Byron Kibler Elementary

forms are due back to 5th grade teachers 1 week after delivery

Students, are you interested in learning how to code? Maybe you already know how to code but would like to learn more about it or share what you know with others. A new Coding club will be starting on Tuesday, March 17th in the portable with Mr. Mullins from 2:45-4:00. Make sure you have an ASB card and have the gold activity clearance form to the office before 11:00 a.m. on the 17th.

Session 2 of the Cooking Club will start up on April 22! The club is open to all grade levels. Learn simple recipes and build confidence in the kitchen. Whether you are a budding chef or just like to eat, the cooking club welcomes all levels of skill.

Gold Activity cards are in the Events Board, purchase an ASB and turn into Mrs. Schipper in the office.

Does your student love to read? If so, they can join Ms. O’Neil and Ms. Chris’ newly formed D.E.A.R club - Drop Everything And READ! Once a month they'll be meeting after school for a half hour activity followed by an hour of reading.
If students would like to join and haven't yet, it's not too late. Students can join any time of the year by filling out a gold activity sheet and turn it into Ms. Schipper.
The next meeting will be Thursday, March 19th, 2:40pm-4pm.

Athletic Registration for 4th Season Sport is open!!

The system will send you pending or approved. All forms need to be approved, fees paid, and physicals submitted by 11:00 a.m. to be able to stay after on the first day of practice. 

When signing up for football, please pay the football sport fee of $45.00 and the additional FOOTBALL FEE of $45.00 total of two Fee's.
Cross Country and Volleyball have only one sport fee of $45.00. 
You can always send cash or check with your student.

The first day of football practice is Wednesday, March 18th. The last day to turn anything in is Tuesday, March 24th. 
Cross Country & Volleyball will start practice on Monday, March 23rd.

Bus Notes

Bus notes: a signed parent note is required for your student
anytime they are riding a different bus home. Please make sure the note includes the following:
1. Your student’s name/Address of where they will be going to
2. Bus number they will be riding/Parent signature
The student brings the note into the office before school to have it stamped and initialed and then gives it to the bus driver when they board the bus. Some buses are at capacity. Office staff will confirm with transportation that there is room. If the bus is full, the bus note will not be approved.
Please be advised that bus notes will not be taken over the phone.

Choice Transfer Reminder

If you have a non-resident student attending school in the district and would like them to be considered for re-enrollment for the 2026-27 school year, a Choice Transfer application must be completed. This application is an annual state requirement for students who live outside of district boundaries.  

Choice Transfer Timelines

Please complete the Choice Transfer application via this link between the Open Enrollment period of March 1 through March 31.  

For families who miss the March open enrollment dates, a second review of Choice Transfers will be available starting August 1 through the first day of school. 

Choice Transfers received outside of the open enrollment dates will be denied.
