Our PTO is hosting a Winter Wishes Pop-in event tomorrow, Saturday, December 6th.  Families can come enjoy a free continental breakfast and do some holiday shopping from local vendors, including our very own Ms. Tracy!

We are still in need of some volunteers.  If you have any ability and interest in helping out tomorrow, you can sign up at the link below:

If you know of a family in need who could benefit from this program, they can regsiter directly with Holiday Helping Hands. Registered families will be invited to their "Giving Day" at the Enumclaw Expo Center on December 19th or 20th.  Each child will receive a gift, a book, a craft or puzzle and stocking stuffers.  All families will receive a board game, gift wrapping supplies and can sign up for a holiday food basket from Plateau Outreach Ministries.

As the weather turns wetter & colder, recess can be a tricky thing to navigate.  In cases of extermely heave rainfall we will adjust our recesses to be indoors to keep kids warm & dry.  However, we recognize the importance of allowing kids the change to get their wiggles out and stretch their legs outside in the fresh air, so we will keep recess outside whenever possible.  In those cases where recess is outside but it is still raining, kids are reminded to make smart choices about the playground equipment and puddles.  If kids make the choice to slide down a wet slide or to jump around in puddles and end up getting wet, we likely will not be able to provide a fresh outfit for them.  Our stash of extra clothes is limited and needs to be reserved for more emergency situations like a child getting sick or having an accident.

If you have clothes that your kids have outgrown but are still in good shape and would like to donate them to our health room stash, we would be so grateful.  We especially need pants with elastic waistbands as this gives us our best chance at fitting as many kids as possible.
