Learn More About Our Replacement Levies on the February 10, 2026 Ballot

The current Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy (approved by voters in 2022) and our current Instructional Technology (Tech) Levy (approved by voters in 2020) will both expire in 2026. The school district is asking our community to consider renewing the two levies on February 10, 2026. If approved by voters, these levies will sustain funding for current services and programs.

Why do school districts have levies?

Levies bridge the gap between the state funding formula and the actual cost of maintaining student programs, services, and school operations. The state provides funding for 'basic education,' but many programs, services, and school buildings rely on local measures approved by voters to fund the gap.

These are replacement levies. This is not a new tax.

Skyward Family Access Update

Our district is currently working on a major information system upgrade: transitioning from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ ("New Skyward") in February 2026. This system update is required and promises enhanced functionality across key areas of student information, payroll, finance, and human resources.

This project represents a significant undertaking for our district. For the past year, the district office and departments, including Business Office, Technology, and Human Resources, have been involved in planning and preparation.

Many families use Family Access through Skyward to view their student's lunch account, grades, attendance, discipline, and more.

Below are important dates related to student and Family Access through Skyward:

February 2, 2026: New student online enrollment will be paused until February 28, 2026. Online enrollment applications will need to be submitted before February 2, 2026, or after February 28, 2026.

February 9-22, 2026: Student/Family Access will be inactivated on Monday, February 9, 2026. All Skyward systems will be offline from Monday, February 9, 2026, to February 22, 2026, for migration.

February 23, 2026: We are expected to go live with “New Skyward” on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the start of the school day.

Skyward Mobile App Users

All Users: The Skyward mobile app will be inactivated for all users (staff, families, and students) on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 8 AM.

Attempts to log in to the app after this time will result in an error.

The mobile app will be available once we are live in Qmlativ, “New Skyward” on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Instructions for configuring your account in the app after the update will be made available on the district’s website and sent out to families as our go-live date approaches. (Users cannot configure the app prior to February 23, 2026.)
