Enumclaw High School Students recently attended the 97th National FFA Convention with over 67,500 other FFA members from all over the country. Enumclaw FFA's Horse Evaluation Team competed at the National FFA Convention, representing the Washington FFA Association after winning the state competition in April 2024. The Enumclaw FFA Horse evaluation team represented both their own chapter and state associations well, earning a bronze team plaque. Individually Alina Ciercowski received a silver placing pin and earned her Equine Management and Evaluation certification from the National Horse Judging Team Coaches' Association. Riyan McGee individually received a silver placing pin. Both Sammy Tappero and Maiya Picinich individually received bronze placing pins. In addition to competing, Enumclaw FFA members had the opportunity to explore local agriculture, history, and culture through various industry tours including the Indy 500 racetrack, a walking tour of Historical Indianapolis, Indiana Caverns, Churchill Downs, the Kentucky Derby Museum, Risin' Creek Dairy Goat Farm and Creamery, the Rolls Royce Museum, and the NCAA Hall of Champions. Students networked with agriculture industry professionals, companies, businesses, and colleges from all over the country. The Enumclaw FFA members represented the Enumclaw community within the national agriculture community and we could not be more proud!
