Dear Enumclaw School District Students and Families,
I hope this message finds you enjoying the last days of summer, soaking up the sunshine, making memories, and perhaps beginning to feel that familiar anticipation of a brand new school year on the horizon.
Over the past six weeks, our district staff and I have been fortunate to spend quality time with family and friends, embracing the joy that summer brings. Yet, as always, there’s a special kind of excitement that builds as we look ahead to that very first day of school and spend the summer months planning and preparing for the upcoming school year.
Across the district, our dedicated staff have been hard at work preparing for your return. Custodians and support teams are ensuring our schools are clean, safe, and ready to welcome you. Teachers have been engaged in meaningful professional development to refine their instructional practices and meet the unique needs of every student who walks through our doors.
Our student-athletes are already back on the fields, courts, and tracks, training with dedication and preparing to compete at their highest potential this fall. Their commitment sets the tone for the energy and excellence we’re looking forward to in the months ahead.
This year, we are proud to continue many of the processes, procedures, and programs introduced last year. These familiar routines are designed to support a smooth transition back to school and to create learning environments that spark curiosity, encourage growth, and celebrate achievement.
The countdown is officially on! We look forward to welcoming students back to school in just a few weeks. The schedule of events and first days is included below. Until then, enjoy the remaining days of summer, and know that we can’t wait to see you soon.
Warmly,
Shaun V. Carey
Superintendent

In order to safeguard the school community from the spread of certain communicable diseases and in recognition that prevention is a means of combating the spread of disease, the ESD board requires a student to present evidence of having been immunized as required by 28A.210 RCW and the Washington State Board of Health 246-105 WAC.
Families in Washington can access health and immunization records online using MyIR. A parent or guardian can register and add access for family members or dependents using a simple and intuitive web interface. Access to health records is only allowed once the parent or guardian visits their health provider to authenticate the information provided to the system. This ensures that the parent or guardian is permitted access to the family’s records as required for compliance to federal law. VISIT MyIR
Exemptions from Immunization:
The district shall allow for exemptions from immunization requirements only as allowed for by RCW 28A.210.090 RCW 28A.210.090 and WAC 246-105-050.
Exclusion from School:
The district will exclude students as required in RCW 28A.210.120 from further presence at the school who are out of compliance with the immunization requirements and students with a life-threatening health condition as required in WAC 392-380-045 who do not have a medication or treatment order in place.
