Dear Enumclaw School District Community,
End-of-Year Message from the Superintendent
As we come to the close of another remarkable school year, I want to take a moment, as your superintendent, to celebrate the journey we have taken together. This has been a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement. Throughout it all, we have demonstrated the strength of our school community by facing challenges with resilience, embracing new opportunities, and creating countless moments of success and joy.
To our students: You are at the heart of everything we do. Your curiosity, determination, and compassion have inspired us all. Whether in the classroom, on the stage, on the field, or in service to others, you have helped make our schools special places of learning and belonging. I am incredibly proud of your accomplishments and the way you continue to grow as learners and as leaders.
To our families: Your steadfast partnership and support have been vital to our success. The time you invest in volunteering, participating in events, and supporting learning at home has created an environment where each child can thrive. Thank you for walking alongside us as we work together to ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered.
To our dedicated staff: I am continually inspired by your professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment to serving our students. You pour your hearts and talents into this work each day, and it shows in the care and opportunities you provide. You are the foundation of our district’s success, and I am deeply grateful for all you do.
As we look toward summer, I encourage everyone in our school community to take this time to rest, recharge, and reconnect with family and friends. Summer is a season for new adventures and joyful memories, and I hope yours is filled with both.
Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement about the year to come. We will continue to build on the strong foundation we have created, focused on providing an excellent educational experience for every student and fostering a sense of belonging and possibility in every school.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community. Together, we make this a place where every child can learn, grow, and thrive. I wish you all a safe, restful, and joy-filled summer, and I look forward to welcoming you back in the fall!
With sincere gratitude,
Shaun

In order to safeguard the school community from the spread of certain communicable diseases and in recognition that prevention is a means of combating the spread of disease, the ESD board requires a student to present evidence of having been immunized as required by 28A.210 RCW and the Washington State Board of Health 246-105 WAC.
Families in Washington can access health and immunization records online using MyIR. A parent or guardian can register and add access for family members or dependents using a simple and intuitive web interface. Access to health records is only allowed once the parent or guardian visits their health provider to authenticate the information provided to the system. This ensures that the parent or guardian is permitted access to the family’s records as required for compliance to federal law. VISIT MyIR
Exemptions from Immunization:
The district shall allow for exemptions from immunization requirements only as allowed for by RCW 28A.210.090 RCW 28A.210.090 and WAC 246-105-050.
Exclusion from School:
The district will exclude students as required in RCW 28A.210.120 from further presence at the school who are out of compliance with the immunization requirements and students with a life-threatening health condition as required in WAC 392-380-045 who do not have a medication or treatment order in place.

Welcome to summer 2025! As your children get ready for summer break, it’s important to remember that water activities come with risks. Since 2018, King County has seen a rise in preventable drowning fatalities, with preliminary data showing 25 deaths in 2024. Many of these tragedies could have been avoided with proper supervision and life jacket use.
This summer, let's make water safety a priority to protect our kids. The King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, King County Sheriff’s Office, and Public Health – Seattle & King County recommend the safety tips included at the following links:
