Dear Enumclaw School District Community,
This week, senior students at Enumclaw High School participated in a unique version of a Career Fair, organized by Assistant Principal and CTE Lead, Kim Herd, and her team. Over 60 volunteers from a variety of professions shared insights into their careers, answered questions, and discussed what it takes to succeed in their respective fields.
Each student had the opportunity to choose up to four speakers from the diverse group of professionals, learning directly from them throughout the day. Additionally, workshops were held to help students understand the evolving requirements of the workforce, practice their interview skills, and connect with resources to plan for life beyond high school.
As an added bonus, students experienced a “reality fair,” simulating the financial responsibilities of independent wage earners. This interactive simulation gave seniors a hands-on understanding of making real-life financial decisions.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the more than 60 community volunteers, as well as the Enumclaw Schools Foundation, WESCU Credit Union, Junior Achievement, and Crystal Mountain Ski Resort for their support through both resources and financial contributions. This event is yet another example of what makes the Enumclaw School Community a remarkable place to learn and grow.

March is Music in Our Schools Month
As families and community members, we often only see the results of student music performances; however, music educators dedicate themselves to working with students through practices and rehearsals, pushing students further. ESD is proud to honor our music, choir, band, and orchestra teachers and the impact they have daily. Learn more about the importance of music in schools at the National Association of Music Education https://nafme.org/

The Enumclaw School District remains fully committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment for every student. In doing so, we carefully follow all state and federal laws and guidelines regarding student safety and rights.
The Enumclaw School District and Board has existing policies in place that address Limiting Immigration Enforcement in Schools - Board Policy 4300 and its accompanying procedure (4300P). These policies align with guidance from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). To ensure transparency and accessibility, we have made this information, along with additional resources, available on our website.
Our foremost responsibility is to ensure that every child in our schools is treated with dignity and respect and that our schools remain safe and welcoming environments for all students and families.
At the beginning of each school year families receive a questionnaire to determine eligibility for McKinney-Vento services.
OSPI recommends a mid-year check-in as an opportunity for anyone with a change to their housing circumstances to submit information. The McKinney-Vento questionnaire can be completed at: https://forms.gle/nKGLgV2PNHht5DtF7
IF YOU HAVE STABLE HOUSING, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS FORM.
