Dear Enumclaw School District Community,
On April 22, voters in the Enumclaw School District will have the opportunity to consider a proposed $12 million capital levy. After almost a full year of research and meetings, the Facilities Oversight for Capital Utilization and Sustainability (FOCUS) Committee (comprised of 21 volunteer community members) presented its findings and recommendations to address pressing facility needs to the Enumclaw School District Board of Directors. As a result of their recommendation for a capital levy to address critical maintenance and secure building access as soon as possible, the Board of Directors approved a resolution to place this measure on the ballot to address critical maintenance needs across the district.
If approved, this levy will provide $3 million per year over four years (2026–2029) to fund urgent facility repairs, student health and safety improvements, and critical infrastructure needs such as roof replacements, HVAC systems, fire panels, and electronic access controls.
Despite ongoing maintenance, aging buildings require significant repairs to prevent safety hazards, maintain operational efficiency, and extend the lifespan of district facilities. Schools rely on HVAC, boilers, water heaters, and pumps to provide comfortable learning conditions. Fire alarm systems and building access controls are also essential for student safety. The levy will also provide funding for kitchen equipment to support school nutrition programs and school bus radios and GPS systems for safer, more efficient transportation. A complete list of the proposed projects, tax impact details, and additional information and resources are available on the district website. To learn more, please visit our website.
Our students are at the heart of our community, and maintaining safe and functional school facilities supports their learning experience. Thank you for taking the time to stay informed about this measure.
Wishing you well this weekend,
Shaun

You would arrive between 7:30 am and 7:45 am and help until 2:30. Lunch will be provided. You can help all day or half day in the morning or afternoon.

The Enumclaw School District remains fully committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment for every student. In doing so, we carefully follow all state and federal laws and guidelines regarding student safety and rights.
The Enumclaw School District and Board has existing policies in place that address Limiting Immigration Enforcement in Schools - Board Policy 4300 and its accompanying procedure (4300P). These policies align with guidance from the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). To ensure transparency and accessibility, we have made this information, along with additional resources, available on our website.
Our foremost responsibility is to ensure that every child in our schools is treated with dignity and respect and that our schools remain safe and welcoming environments for all students and families.
At the beginning of each school year families receive a questionnaire to determine eligibility for McKinney-Vento services.
OSPI recommends a mid-year check-in as an opportunity for anyone with a change to their housing circumstances to submit information. The McKinney-Vento questionnaire can be completed at: https://forms.gle/nKGLgV2PNHht5DtF7
IF YOU HAVE STABLE HOUSING, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS FORM.
