Greetings Timberwolf Families!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are writing to share an important update regarding the middle school music programs that will take effect next school year. Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, Ms. Holz and Mrs. Ontiveros-Kim will be transitioning to new teaching assignments that better align with their areas of expertise.
In addition to the bands and choir at EMS, Ms. Holz will now also teach band at TMMS while Mrs. Ontiveros-Kim will continue teaching the orchestras and choir at TMMS alongside the orchestras at EMS. While both have successfully taught orchestra, band, and choir in the past, this realignment will allow each teacher to bring the depth of their specialized training to the student musicians of Enumclaw School District.
Orchestra at TMMS: Ontiveros-Kim
Choir at TMMS: Ontiveros-Kim
Band at TMMS: Holz
Orchestra at EMS: Ontiveros-Kim
Choir at EMS: Holz
Band at EMS: Holz
Ms. Holz is trained in band instruction with a specialization in woodwind technique and performance. Mrs. Ontiveros-Kim is a strings specialist with years of experience in both string pedagogy and orchestral instruction. By aligning the teaching assignments with these specialties, students will receive stronger technical instruction and gain a deeper understanding of the repertoire, history, and performance practices in their chosen discipline. In addition to these benefits, receiving this focused instruction allows students to progress more efficiently and confidently as they continue their journey through Enumclaw’s growing music program.
Ms. Holz and Mrs. Ontiveros-Kim are committed to working in tandem to better serve the student musicians of our community. We are confident this change will provide an even richer learning experience for all students.
Thank you for your continued support of the ESD music programs!

School Immunizations: Get Ready Over the Summer for the 26-27 School Year
In order to safeguard the school community from the spread of certain communicable diseases and in recognition that prevention is a means of combating the spread of disease, the ESD board requires a student to present evidence of having been immunized as required by 28A.210 RCW and the Washington State Board of Health 246-105 WAC.
Families in Washington can access health and immunization records online using MyIR. A parent or guardian can register and add access for family members or dependents using a simple and intuitive web interface. Access to health records is only allowed once the parent or guardian visits their health provider to authenticate the information provided to the system. This ensures that the parent or guardian is permitted access to the family’s records as required for compliance to federal law. VISIT MyIR
Exemptions from Immunization:
The district shall allow for exemptions from immunization requirements only as allowed for by RCW 28A.210.090 RCW 28A.210.090 and WAC 246-105-050.
Exclusion from School:
The district will exclude students as required in RCW 28A.210.120 from further presence at the school who are out of compliance with the immunization requirements and students with a life-threatening health condition as required in WAC 392-380-045 who do not have a medication or treatment order in place.
