This morning started off with our Martin Luther King, Jr. Assembly.  

Dr. King reminded us that “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” As we celebrate his work and vision, let’s strive to foster kindness, understanding, and unity throughout our Timberwolf Pack, the Enumclaw School District and our community.

There are TWO clubs starting in January.  Dungeons and Dragons, and Knowledge Bowl.

To sign up, you will need to access the Athletic Registration & Information page, and click the InTouch Login.  To be in a club, students need to have paid for their ASB Card, as well as submit the appropriate forms.  

Our Art Classes have been busy, and their latest works are on display in the Main Hallway.  Thank you for the wonderful Art.

On Tuesday, January 13th, the Robotics team from EMS had a friendly competition against the Robotics Team from Thunder Mountain Middle School.  Every student had an opportunity to maneuver their robot through the course.  There were different actions they could perform for points, such as picking up a ball and placing it on a structure, picking up a cone and placing it on another structure, pushing blocks into a box or picking up large Jacks and putting them into a box.  They had a specified time in which to complete as many tasks as possible, and get back to the starting mat or up a ramp before the time ended.

Season 3 Sports (Girls Soccer and Boys Basketball) started on Monday, January 12, 2026.  Make sure your student's physical is current through March 13, 2026.  Physicals are good for TWO YEARS, and must remain current through the end of the season.

Registration needs to be completed before January 12, 2026 for Girls Soccer and Boys Basketball.  You can use the Button below to access the Athletic Registration Page, and the On-Line InTouch Payment button to pay for Season 3 or Season 4 Sports Fee and ASB if you have not already.

Season 4 Sports (Cross Country, Girls Volleyball and Football for 7th and 8th Graders) will start in March.  Now would be a good time to make sure your physical is current through May 20th.  Physicals are good for TWO YEARS.

The current Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy (approved by voters in 2022) and Instructional Technology (Tech) Levy (approved by voters in 2020) will both expire in 2026. The school district is asking our community to consider renewing the two levies in the February 10, 2026, Special Election. If approved by voters, these levies will sustain funding for current services and programs. These are replacement levies. This is not a new tax. The Board of Directors is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the District. Its primary duties include hiring, supervising, and evaluating the superintendent, as well as establishing the district’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. The Board reviews, revises, and adopts district policies and is responsible for establishing and overseeing the district’s budget. Additionally, Board members serve as representatives of the community and monitor the district’s progress toward achieving its stated objectives.

We offer a special thank you to former President Julianne DeShayes for her four-years of service, and tireless commitment to understanding and uniting all segments of the District community. 

Why is youth EKG heart screening important? 

Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the leading cause of death in exercising young athletes. 

See the attached flyer for the FREE youth heart screening event at the Seahawks Training Facility in Renton on Saturday, February 28th. Registration is required.
