Greetings Timberwolf Families! |
Please read the following important letter from Superintendent Jill Burnes, that was sent out to middle school families on Thursday, February 5th. ______________ Dear Middle School Parents/Guardians, Yesterday, we were made aware of a social media post circulating among high school students that encourages a school walkout on February 13. We want to be clear that this activity was not organized by school staff and is not school-sponsored in any way.
Today, we are hearing that high school students are encouraging middle school students to participate. School and district administrators will be meeting with staff to ensure consistent communication with students regarding expectations and the district’s response. Students will be informed that demonstrations are not permitted on school grounds during the school day.
Student safety is our top priority. Students will not be allowed to leave campus without a prearranged absence and a parent/guardian to pick them up. Should a student leave campus without permission, we will follow our existing procedures and notify parents immediately.
We strongly encourage families to talk with their students prior to February 13. These conversations can help students better understand school expectations, the importance of remaining engaged in learning, and appropriate ways to express their opinions and concerns. Open dialogue at home plays an important role in supporting students as they navigate information they may encounter on social media and make thoughtful decisions.
Thank you for your partnership and continued support of our schools. Sincerely, Jill Burnes Superintendent, Enumclaw School District |
With the end of the 1st Semester for the 2025-26 School year and we want to hear from you, both the good and the hard to hear.
You are a critical part of our school culture and we value your feedback. A survey will be sent out after each grading period because each grading period marks another point of feedback in your student's middle school journey! To access the current survey, please click on the Parent Survey button below. This will be last request for Semester 1 Feedback. | The Calendar list at the end of the newsletter has been updated. New/Updated entries are highlighted for two weeks. |

Our district is currently working on a major information system upgrade: transitioning from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ ("New Skyward") in February 2026. This system update is required and promises enhanced functionality across key areas of student information, payroll, finance, and human resources.
This project represents a significant undertaking for our district. For the past year, the district office and departments, including Business Office, Technology, and Human Resources, have been involved in planning and preparation.
Many families use Family Access through Skyward to view their student's lunch account, grades, attendance, discipline, and more.
Below are important dates related to student and Family Access through Skyward:
February 2, 2026: New student online enrollment will be paused until February 28, 2026. Online enrollment applications will need to be submitted before February 2, 2026, or after February 28, 2026.
February 9-22, 2026: Student/Family Access will be inactivated on Monday, February 9, 2026. All Skyward systems will be offline from Monday, February 9, 2026, to February 22, 2026, for migration.
February 23, 2026: We are expected to go live with “New Skyward” on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the start of the school day. Skyward Mobile App Users All Users: The Skyward mobile app will be inactivated for all users (staff, families, and students) on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 8 AM.
Attempts to log in to the app after this time will result in an error. The mobile app will be available once we are live in Qmlativ, “New Skyward” on Monday, February 23, 2026. Instructions for configuring your account in the app after the update will be made available on the district’s website and sent out to families as our go-live date approaches. (Users cannot configure the app prior to February 23, 2026.) |

The current Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy (approved by voters in 2022) and Instructional Technology (Tech) Levy (approved by voters in 2020) will both expire in 2026. The school district is asking our community to consider renewing the two levies in the February 10, 2026, Special Election. If approved by voters, these levies will sustain funding for current services and programs. These are replacement levies. This is not a new tax. To learn more about these levies and the programs and services they fund, please visit our website: https://www.enumclaw.wednet.edu/page/2026-replacement-levies
