Greetings Timberwolf Families! |
Here we go! We have made it to Spring Break and then we have 41 days left of school. That’s basically 8 weeks left of school. Don’t forget, May 22 is now a weather make up day for EMS, Southwood, and Sunrise, with a regular Friday Release time.
Between Spirit Week, SBA testing, and end of year events, we will be done in a blink of an eye. Please be sure to keep your eye on the dates that are found at the bottom of the newsletter every week. If something is added, it goes on the calendar~ like PTSO is selling dirt sodas again on May 1 during lunches!
I want to send a huge shout out to a group of students who have stepped up and wanted to have a student voice about the potential of our passing periods going down to 3 minutes. No matter how much we have encouraged 8th grade students to start walking and not hang out in the 8th grade hallway, and 6th & 7th grade students to keep their hands to themselves and off to the side of the halls, we are struggling to get them to comply. However, students have asked, can they be a part of the solution and they have great ideas that will start when we come back from break! Hopefully you never have to hear from me again about the potential of 3 minute passing times! BIG shout out to: Lilanore M., Tenley L., Natalie R., Rilee Z., Olivia H., Eva C., Regina L., Diana K., Payton C., Kenzie V., Sofie F., Bristol B., Gia L., Milana M., Autumn D., Shelby W., & Kylie M. I love that they cared enough to advocate for their side, but also, for solutions to fix the problem! One Pack, Many Voices in action!
Another round of Recognition that can be overlooked…we have an incredible group of students who are committed to coming to school on time and maintained AT LEAST a 90% attendance rate. Showing up day in and day out is key to Resilience! The following students are in this category:

TESTING
Please read the following letter regarding upcoming Testing:
Dear Family/Guardian,
This spring your student in grades 3-8 and 10 will take the Smarter Balanced or the Washington Access to Instruction and Measurement (WA-AIM) tests in math and English language arts. Students in grades 5, 8, and 11 will also take the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) or the WA-AIM science assessment.
The results from these tests will give a more accurate picture of whether students are on track to be ready for college or career. For students in grade 10, the Smarter Balanced or WA-AIM tests can also be used as a graduation pathway.
Most students will take the tests online. Our school is scheduled to take the tests May 11-29, 2026.
For more information about the Smarter Balanced and WCAS tests, visit: https://www.k12.wa.us/student-success/testing/state-testing-overview, and click on the name of the test.
To try out an online Smarter Balanced practice test or WCAS training test, visit: https://login10.cloud1.tds.cambiumast.com/student/V571/Pages/LoginShell.aspx?c=Washington_PT&a=student
The WA-AIM is an alternate assessment based on alternate achievement standards aligned to the Washington State K–12 Learning Standards for students with significant cognitive challenges. For more information about the WA-AIM tests and to take a look at example questions, visit: https://www.k12.wa.us/student-success/testing/state-testing/assessment-students-cognitive-disabilities-wa-aim.
Please call or email Cyndi Baker, cynthia_baker@enumclaw.wednet.edu or 360-802-7731 if you have questions about state testing.
Thank you for continuing to work with us to make sure your student is successful. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to better support your student. We want your student to leave us with a solid foundation of skills and a future full of opportunities.
Sincerely,
Lindsay Richter- Principal Enumclaw Middle School

Dear Enumclaw School District Families,
Our district has been working on a major information system upgrade: transitioning from Skyward SMS 2.0 to Skyward Qmlativ ("New Skyward"). After completing the majority of our migration over the Mid-Winter Break, Skyward Family Access is now available again.
Many families use Family Access through Skyward to view their student's lunch account, grades, attendance, discipline, and more.
Family Access Login
Food Service Payments
We are still working on the functionality of food service payments at this time. We will provide families with an update when the system is available to accept payments.
Skyward Mobile App Users: Action Required
For staff, families, and students who have the Skyward mobile app already installed, the app must be configured for Qmlativ.
Configuration Instructions
Your Skyward Login ID was provided to you when enrolling your first student in the Enumclaw School District. Your password was also chosen at this time. Occasionally, Skyward may ask you to choose a new password to keep your account secure.
Need to install the app? Download the "Skyward Mobile Access" app from either the Apple App Store, or Google Play.
Forgot your Login ID or password
Go to the Skyward login page and select “Forgot your Login/Password?”
Enter your email address and complete the CAPTCHA (human verification).
Watch for an automated email with reset instructions.
If you do not receive the email within 5 minutes, please contact your child’s school to confirm the email address on file.
For more information about Skyward Family Access, please visit our website: https://enumclawwa.sites.thrillshare.com/o/esd/page/family-access
For any other questions related to your Family Access account, please contact your school.

At the beginning of each school year, families receive a questionnaire to determine eligibility for McKinney-Vento services, as well as for Free/Reduced Meals during the school day. OSPI recommends a mid-year check-in as an opportunity for anyone with a change to their housing circumstances to submit information.
The McKinney-Vento information can be found at https://www.enumclaw.wednet.edu/page/mckinney-vento-homeless-students IF YOU HAVE STABLE HOUSING, YOU DO NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THIS FORM.
Free/Reduced Meal applications can be found at https://www.enumclaw.wednet.edu/o/esd/page/free-and-reduced We encourage all families to fill out this form, even if you think you may not qualify.
For questions, please contact your school counselor Davette Eneboe at Davette_Eneboe@Enumclaw.wednet.edu or 360-802-7159 or ESD Student Support Services at 360-802-7125. |
