Dear EMS Families,

3 days down and students are making significant progress learning their schedule and managing their lockers. This is always the “thing” that makes them the most nervous. While it’s difficult to start before Labor Day weekend, it is nice to have a slow start to learn routines and get back into healthy sleeping patterns, with a 3 day school week, then 4, then 5!

Update on chromebooks

We are working on getting 6th grade students and new to us 7th and 8th grade students, their chromebooks; there has been a delay in shipping due to issues outside of our control. Of course our goal is to start routines ASAP, but this one is delayed.

Potential changes in lunches or Wolf Den classes

As the beginning of the year is progressing, we are seeing a need to balance lunches and Wolf Den classes so if your student comes home talking about one of these changing in the next week, don’t be alarmed!  It’s a number game.

Schedule Change Policy

We’re excited to kick off the new school year and appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we finalize class schedules.

Due to class sizes, we’re not able to make schedule changes for social reasons—like wanting to be in the same classes as friends or with a certain teacher. We know this can be disappointing, but our priority is making sure all classes are balanced and every student gets the courses they need.

If you notice a true error on your schedule—like having two math classes and no P.E.—please let us know right away so we can fix it.

All ASB card and athletic user fees may be waived for students/families that qualify for free or reduced price meals. Students/guardians must fill out a Consent to Share form as well as the application for Free and Reduced Meals Application to see if they qualify. Please do not purchase any of those items until you determine if you qualify. Forms to apply for Free and Reduced Meals will be available at Timberwolf Day, can be located at the District Site, and will be sent home the first week of school.

At any time, you can pay for the following on-line

• ASB Card ($25)

• Enhanced ASB Card (additional $25 to the ASB Card, which will get your EMS student into EHS home games for free)

• Athletic Fee per Season ($45) (ASB Card is required to participate in a sport)

• Additional Football Fee ($45) if playing football

• PE Uniform ($22)
