A Message from the Principal

Dear Kibler Families,

Our Mission Possible theme is off to a great start! Students are already showing kindness, belief in themselves, and belief in others. This mission really is possible! Students have been finding Top Secret Messages of kindness to give to staff, and classes have taken on daily missions to help our school run smoothly—like Operation: Silent Steps for walking quietly in the hallways. The kids are doing amazing.

You may have seen the district’s message about the roof project. Work is underway, but with the recent rain we’ve had many new leaks. Our maintenance team is on it, and once the project is complete, we’ll have a drier building.

Our fall fundraiser launches Monday, and we’ll share details with students during lunch. With your help, we can really set our PTA up for success. Every item sold = more opportunities for our Bears. Please consider purchasing from the catalog, sharing online, or inviting friends and neighbors to join in. If each family sells just 10 items, we’ll reach our goal. Your child will be bringing home a packet soon.

Individual Picture Day

Picture Day is coming up on Wednesday, September 17. Picture order forms have already been sent home with students. Please check your child’s backpack if you haven't seen it yet.

You can order online now at mydorian.com and for up to four days after Picture Day.

Kibler Open House

You're Invited to Kibler Open House – September 25!

We’re excited to welcome all families to our Kibler Elementary Open House on Thursday, September 25, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM!

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, explore classrooms, and learn more about what your child will be experiencing this school year. Staff will be available to answer questions and share important information about our programs and expectations.

We look forward to seeing you there and building strong connections between home and school!

Popcorn Friday – A Special Treat for Students

We’re thrilled to announce a very special Popcorn Friday on September 26th — thanks to a generous donation from the Chalet Theatre, every student will receive a free bag of popcorn to enjoy!

Here’s what to expect:

No cost – This Friday’s popcorn is completely free for all students.
Bagged with care – Our wonderful PTA volunteers will be bagging the popcorn.
Delivered during recess – Popcorn will be handed out to students during recess time for a fun and tasty treat.

Free & Reduced Lunch Application

More Than Just Meals: 7 Reasons To Complete a Free & Reduced Meal Application

Did you know your child may qualify for other free or reduced-price meal benefits? To receive these benefits, you must fill out a 'Consent to Share' form after qualifying.

1. Increased funding to support your child’s school
2. Discounted fees for Advanced Placement Tests & Pre-College Exams (PSAT/SAT/ACT)

All families who wish to apply for reduced or free meals with the Enumclaw School District are encouraged to fill out an application at any time during the school year. Only one application is needed per family. A new application must be completed at the beginning of each school year. Applications are available in several ways: at all school offices, on our website, and securely online through Family Access.

Backpack Program

For families struggling to keep enough food in the house during weekends and school breaks, there is help available. Each Friday, hundreds of students of the Enumclaw School District receive food bags containg fresh organic fruit, entree servings, breakfasts, and snacks. Food bags are discreetly distributed at school in such a way that the students remain anonymous to classmates.

If your family could benefit from this program, contact your student's school counselor or complete the online enrollment form.

This program is brought to families of the Enumclaw School District by the Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation.

Required Student Information Update

It is time for ESD families to verify their demographic information and update annual forms through Family Access. Please complete this process for each current Enumclaw School District student in the household by logging into Skyward Family Access at https://www.enumclaw.wednet.edu/page/family-access

Please fill this out if you would like to eat lunch with your child in the lunchroom or join them at recess on the playground, as well.

School Hours:

Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Friday, 9:00 am - 2:15 pm

Students may arrive after 8:45 a.m. when student supervision is available.

Food Service:

Breakfast and Lunches at Kibler for the 2025-26 school year are free for all students. In order for the meal to be free, a student must take a complete meal. If a student only takes a milk, they will be charged for that milk.

Emergency Information:

Please be sure to keep your child's records current. Notify the office of any changes in address, phone numbers, childcare, etc., so that you may be reached if necessary.

Attendance:

When your child is absent, we request that a guardian notify the office. The office will make every effort to contact the parent/guardian of absent students if a phone call is not received to verify their safety. If a student is not in their classroom by the time the tardy bell rings at 9:00 a.m., the student will be marked tardy. All tardy students must check into the office before going to class.

Changes In After School Routine:

If your child has a change to their after school routine, please send a note or call the office BEFORE 2:30 pm (Fridays, 1:45 pm) to ensure information is communicated in a timely manner.
