A Message from the Principal

Principal Picture

Dear Kibler Families,

Wow, what an incredible show of support! Thanks to your tremendous effort, our fundraiser brought in over $50,000 in sales and donations, which means more than $25,000 will come directly back to our school. That is simply amazing. We are thrilled, thank you!

Because of your generosity (and a promise I made!), I proudly sported a full Mohawk on Wednesday. I briefly considered adding some chains, a leather jacket, and a little punk rock soundtrack to really commit to the look. Thankfully, after a couple of spirited hat days, I’m now rocking a much calmer “No-Hawk.”

As the excitement from the fundraiser settles, we’re really digging into our academic learning. Thank you for all the ways you support your child at home — reading together each night, encouraging play and outdoor time (getting hot and sweaty!), making sure they get enough sleep, and pointing out math in the world around them. These small, daily moments make a big difference in their growth and confidence!

Your support, at school and at home, fuels everything we do. It's cool to be a Bear!

Go Bears!

Go Ms, you can do it!

Travis

Get to Know Our Assistant Principal

Dear Kibler Families,

I’m excited to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal at Kibler Elementary. This is my 5th year at Kibler and my 14th year in the Enumclaw School District. Before moving into administration, I taught elementary school for many years, which gave me a deep appreciation for the important work that happens in classrooms every day.

As Assistant Principal, my role is to support students, staff, and families. Much of my work centers on helping students succeed academically and socially, supporting teachers with instruction, and making sure our school is a safe and welcoming place for every child. I also partner with families when challenges arise and celebrate with you as our students grow and thrive.

Kibler is a very special place, and I’m grateful to be part of this community. I look forward to working together this year to ensure every child has a positive and successful school experience.

Warmly,
Shannon Cunningham
Assistant Principal

Popcorn Friday – October 24, 2025

We’re thrilled to announce a very special Popcorn Friday on October 24th — thanks to a generous donation from the Chalet Theatre, every student will receive a free bag of popcorn to enjoy!

Here’s what to expect:

  • No cost – Friday’s popcorn is completely free for all students.

  • Bagged with care – Our wonderful PTA volunteers will be bagging the popcorn.

  • Delivered during recess – Popcorn will be handed out to students during recess time for a fun and tasty treat.

A big thank you to the Chalet for their generous support of our school, and to the PTA for making these moments possible.
