October has been an exciting month at Black Diamond Elementary! Our classrooms are filled with energy and curiosity as students dive into new learning experiences each day. It’s inspiring to see the excitement and engagement happening all around our building.
A special thank you to our amazing PTO and our generous community for all of your hard work and support during the fundraiser—you helped raise an incredible $39,000! WOW! Your contributions directly support our students and enrich learning opportunities throughout the year.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community. Together, we’re making this an outstanding year of learning and growth!

RESPONSIBILITY
Our school-wide character trait focus this month is Responsibility. A big part of Responsibility is how we interact or engage with others. When we work to keep healthy relationships, we must understand that our choices impact those around us. This month's focus for primary grades includes practicing following directions, keeping focus, and engagement. For older students, we will practice responsibility through flexible thinking, organization, and goal-setting.
Taproot Theater Assembly
This week, we were treated to a fantastic assembly from Taproot Theater, sponsored by our amazing PTO! The performance, titled ROCKS!, focused on important lessons about kindness, respect, and standing up to bullying.
Students learned the 3 Rs to remember if they are ever bullied:
Recognize, Report, Refuse — and a secret 4th R: Repeat if the bullying continues!
They also discovered what it means to be an upstander—someone who stands up for others and helps make our school a safe, caring place for everyone.
It was such a fun and meaningful assembly! Be sure to ask your child what they learned from ROCKS!
