It’s hard to believe we’ve already wrapped up our first month of school! The time has flown by, and what a wonderful start it has been. We’ve loved getting to know your children, watching them discover new things, form new friendships, and find their rhythm in the classroom. From engaging lessons to laughter on the playground, each day has been filled with curiosity, energy, and growth.
We’re so grateful for the encouragement and partnership you’ve shown as we’ve kicked off the year together. Your support makes a big difference, and it’s exciting to see how much we can accomplish as a community when we work hand-in-hand.
As we step into this next month, we look forward to even more learning, creativity, and fun ahead. With so many opportunities on the horizon, we can’t wait to see how our students continue to shine.
Here’s to making this year one to remember!

It’s Picture Day! Orders can be placed online anytime at mydorian.com, and you’ll even have up to four days after Picture Day to complete your order. Please make sure your child arrives on time, ready, and dressed for the camera—we can’t wait to capture all those bright smiles!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Curriculum/Open House! It was such a joy to see our hallways filled with smiling faces, curious students, and enthusiastic families exploring classrooms. We truly value the time you took to connect with us and learn more about the year ahead. Your support and involvement play a huge role in our school’s success, and we are so excited to partner with you in your child’s learning journey. Together, we’re building a strong, supportive, and fun community where every student can thrive!
Dancing Classrooms!!
Our 5th graders have been working hard in Dancing Classrooms, and their progress has been amazing! From the upbeat Merengue to the Foxtrot and the Rumba, they’re mastering each dance with confidence and enthusiasm. The joy and teamwork they bring to the floor is inspiring to see.
We can’t wait to welcome you for the Culminating Event on Wednesday, November 19th at 9:30am, where our students will shine as they share the dances they’ve learned. It’s going to be a memorable celebration of their growth, talent, and hard work!
Parent Pickup - Traffic
Our top priority at dismissal is making sure all buses can safely enter the parking lot without being backed up onto the street. To help with this, we may occasionally pause traffic in the pickup line to allow buses through. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in keeping dismissal safe and running smoothly.

Water Only Request
Just a friendly reminder—please don’t send sugary drinks to school with your student. We ask that only water be brought into classrooms. Water helps keep students hydrated, energized, and ready to learn throughout the day. Thanks for helping us create a healthy and focused learning environment!
Cell Phone/Smart Watch Policy
Elementary schools will continue to enforce this policy as stated here in the elementary student handbook: All cell phones, iPods, cameras, and other electronic devices must be turned off and out of sight during the school day, unless under the supervision of a staff member. If a student wears a watch phone, it should not be used for communication, recording, or games. After the second misuse, watch phones will need to be turned off and put in the backpack during the school day. As always, we understand that our students have individualized needs, and we will provide accommodations as necessary or required on an individual basis.
